As the first blog for this class, I feel that some ground rules need to be covered. When you create comments for our class blogs, you will be able to share your thoughts and opinions with your classmates. It is cool to see what others think and where you fit into the discusssion. I will also be reading these blogs. Comments with inappropriate language or discussion will be deleted.

ReplyDeleteCharlie is a younger man, he is secretly addicted to heroin, he was previously in a band.
ReplyDeleteBefore Charlie boarded Oceanic flight 815, he was in a band in Australia. His band mates discovered his secret stash of heroin. They told him he could not be in the band anymore. He left the band and moved on. He caught the next flight to Britan which placed him on Oceanic flight 815.
Jack has seemed to start off as the leader of the island; He is a doctor so he knows what to do when there is a medical emergency and during the pilot, he has two scars going across his face from the crash.
ReplyDeleteBefore the crash happened, Jack was attending a doctors convention and was on his way home to meet his brand new babyboy that his finacee just had. They were going to marry three weeks after he got home. He was supposed to get on the flight before Oceanic Flight 815 but one of the waiting passengers had a heart attack so instead of going on the flight, he stopped what he was doing to help the ill man. Luckily, with Jack's knowledge as a doctor, he was able to revive the man and get him to a hospital in time. For his herioc actions, the airport gave him a free ticket back home. But little did he know that this flight would change his life.
1.) Charlie: crazy, cool, noce, addicted 2 heroine, involved in alot of which goes on, hyper.

He has been in the comedian way of life for 4 years but after the first year became addicted to heroinne... hes on his way back 2 america from australia for another show... also trying to bring heroine into the states... Before the plane crashed he thought the plane flight attendance caught him so went to dump it down the toilet...
1) jack is a doctor and has helped many people. He also a male around his 30's. Is trying to keep everyone calm. SO far he is the leader of the island.
ReplyDelete2)Jack was on th eplane because he was leaving Australia to head home when the plane crashed. He was in australia becuase since he is a professional doctor, he was helping the sick in poorer part of the country. He has helped hundreds and also found a new cure while there. He was going to show it Redcross in United States, until the plane went down. Thats why he is in the plane.
1.)Jack: Doctor. Smart, heroic, leader, helps a lot of people. Mid 30's.
ReplyDelete2.)Jack was on his way home from an important spinal operation in Australia. He had a wife and a son, but they weren't a happy family. They had troubles because Jack was always traveling and didn't seem to care too much about them. When he got home from Australia he was going to try and fix things with them, but then the plane crashed.
1.) Jack is a doctor in his 30's who helps a lot of people to get away from the plane, and performs a surgery to save a guy from dieing. He is really attractive, and does not let fear over power him.

I do not know what brought him on this flight, but to me it is a good thing that he was on the plane because, without him, everything would have been crazy and out of order, and no one would be able to do anything. Also, a lot of people would have died, such as the the man with the blade in he leg.

ReplyDelete2. Kate is a very mysterious character in this show. As it turns out she boards the plane as a criminal being transfered from australia to the u.s. She doesn't seem like your usual convict. In australia she lived a life of crimes, and all she wanted was to start over, but with everything on her record, she couldn't escape it.
1) Jack mid 30's male, doctor, helps people, seems to have problems with drinking.
ReplyDelete2) Jack is world annonced doctor that is on his way to a new hospital. He had to help a patient with a heart transplant. He aso has an alchol addiction. during the plane ride, the flight attendent gave him some stronger alchol. I believe that he is a rich well handled person.
1) Charlie, is a curious yet cowardly person. He is willing to help, but almost always let his fear get to him. He is weird, funny, and he use to be in a band.
ReplyDelete2) Before Charlie got on the plane he was previously working as a drug dealer. He also use to be in a band. Whenever he gets into situations he doesn't think he can handle, he goes and gets high off of heroin. He is afraid to get on planes because when he was younger his father was a pilot and was killed in a plane crash. Ever since then, his mother has been a heroin, and cocaine addict to deal with their loss.
1.) Jack, he is a doctor that wants to help everyone. He doesnt care about your life before the crash. He is willing to help anyone. He is a leader.
ReplyDelete2.) Jack was a survival instructor. After he trained in that, he was a doctor in the army. He was in Australia for a professional survival competiition. He was on his way back to his house in California when the plane crashed.
1) Jack, in my mind would be considered the leader of the group. He is a doctor and was able to help many people. He has on his own taken charge of the whole situation after the crash.
ReplyDelete2)I believe that he was on the plane because he was returnig from some place where his help was needed. He may be a traveling doctor or one who helps out in ravaged places. He is a smart man and maybe in high demand due to his experiences.

ReplyDelete2. Charlie's band broke up, but they were planning on talking about a comeback tour when he got to the United States. Charlie is nothing without the band. He has no family, no friends, and the only thing he has is drugs. However, since he has not gotten money from the band he cannot support his drug addiction for much longer.
1.) Jack, middle-aged man, smart, doctor, caring, quick to help anyone, leader.
ReplyDelete2.) Jack was on Oceanic flight 815 because he had to go to an hospital in Australia. He was going to perform surgery on some of the sickest patients in the counrty. There was a deadly illness going around, and he was one of the best American doctors. He was one of the only doctors who knew how to cure the disease.

ReplyDelete2)Charlie lived an incredibly horrible life before the crash. He was in and out of rehab houses because of his addiction to heroine etc.He was on his way to sell an Oz of heroine to someone that involved him taking a plane. Charlie was known as the guy for the best stuff, so like all drug dealers do whens money is calling, they go. Charlie didnt know that but by his heroine addiction and greed for money, it was leading him to his downfall.
1) katie does not seems to be afraid of what is going on around her, she is trying to find a way to get help and get out of the island. She got previusly arrested in Australia.
ReplyDelete2) One week before katie aborded the Oceanic flight 815, she got arrested for killing her housband,the police think that she killed her housbend because of money. But what the police don't know is that her housband tried to kill her first wanting all the money that her dead father had left for her because she is the only daughter. When she was fighting with her housband she pushed him trying to keep him away from her and he felt down stairts, the police didn't believe her because he's a cop too. Now the police is taking her back to the U.S.A , to receive her punishment for killing her housband
1. Kate is a young smart women with a bad past.
ReplyDelete2. After her husband died, Kate had trouble paying the bills. So she got desprit and ended up owing money to a crime lord. When she couldn't pay she was framed for a crime she didn't commit. A U.S. marshall was escorting her back to the states when the plane hit major terbulence and crashed on an island.
1. Brownish-blonde hair, beard. Drummer, heroin addict, third wheel to Jack and Kate.
ReplyDelete2. Jack is a well respected doctor who travels all around the world performing his craft. Jack was on Oceanic flight 815 for a trip home after going to Australia to perform a heart transplant on an 8 year old boy. The doctor’s attraction to Kate stems from the fact that his career doesn’t allow for relationships of any kind especially with the opposite sex. Jack’s profession has provided him with a trait that will come in quite handy on the island; the ability to remain calm under pressure.
1. Kate - long dark hair, kind, deteremined, independent, has a secret to keep from people.
ReplyDelete2. Kate is on the plane because she was being extradicted on a murder count. She is charged with killing her husband and escaping police. She killed her husband because thought their 4 years of marrage he constantly beat her, and because he was the chief of police in the small town of Topeka no one ever arrested him. One day he beat her so bad she had to go to the hospital. That was the last straw she decided to leave him. He caught her trying to leave him and got mad and hit her over and over. She grabbed what ever she could and struck him with it. The blow to the head killed him in cold blood. She cleaned up and ran away. She was caught later on in the month 900 miles away. The U.S. air marshal was escorting her back to Topeka but they were rerouted to New York because of a delayed flight.
